Top Bowling Games of All time

10. Brunswick Pro Bowling (PS3)
-This game takes bowling to the next level, as you use the Playstation move controller to actually bowl. It’s pretty unique since you can control the way the ball moves much more accurately compared to just using a controller. Unfortunately, this is as high as it will make it on the list in my opinion since the pin physics are pretty poor if you ask me.

9. PBA bowling 2001(pc)
-This still remains one of my favorite bowling PC games, but I feel like they could’ve added SO MUCH MORE to it. The graphics are pretty bad if you ask me, I feel as if I’m bowling on a product that was never fully finished. I do think the pin physics are REALLY good though, since you need to be very accurate and know where to throw the ball, especially since the oil conditions on the lane break down after awhile.

8. Silver Strike Bowling(Arcade)
-Pin physics are REALLY good, though I think they could’ve been a bit better, as it feels like you need to hit the pocket perfectly in order to get a strike. Learning curve is a factor on this too, as I have played this game many times and I would say that I can barely get the ball to aim right where I want it to be. It does feel like it’s much more of a realistic game though, as PBA champion Randy Pedersen is an announcer in this game, and guides you through it as well.

7. The Simpsons Bowling (Arcade)
-Pin Physics are pretty good, though it seems ridiculously easy to get strikes in this game. However, I think that’s the fun part about it, cause when you throw a ball down and expect a strike, something unusual tends to happen from time to time. Also, after you get 3 strikes in a row, you get a specialty bowling ball, which could be either a radiation bowling ball that melts the pins when you throw the ball down, a bomb that blows up as many pins as possible when you throw it, a fireball that lights up everything on fire when you throw the ball, and last but not least, MAGGIE. Yes, Maggie is a specialty bowling ball in this game.

6. Wii Sports (Wii)
 - Ah, who can forget about this classic game? If you own a Wii, you own this game, so many, MANY people have played Wii Sports. Wii sports itself is very fun, but I think the most played game on it by far is Bowling. Of course, you use the motion controller to determine where to throw it and how fast you throw the ball down as well. Pin physics are VERY good, but one complaint I have is that if a pin gets hit and wobbles, it will NEVER fall down.

5. Milo's Astro Lanes (Nintendo 64)
-there’s usually a few stars located on the lane, so if you hit one while you’re throwing, you’ll get a perk to use anytime you want for your ball. Some of them include: making your bowling ball GIANT, having 3 bowling balls thrown down the lane instead of 1, and even making your ball go insanely fast at the pins. You can also use your perks against your opponent to prevent them from striking, such as making their bowling ball shrink, bounce up and down on the lanes, or even make it disappear completely. You need to really know how to use your perks well in this game, since getting strikes is no easy task. Oh yeah, pin physics are very good too, so overall, this game is one of the best in my opinion.

4. Wii Sports resort (Wii)
-As much as I like Wii Sports bowling, I think Wii Sports resort takes it to the next level. Pin Physics are pretty much the same as Wii Sports, though a few tweaks were made so that it gives you more of a real bowling feel to it. What I like more than anything though is the fact that you are able to really take advantage of the Wii Motion Plus controller, especially when it comes to spinning the ball and getting it to curve where you want it to. I can curve the ball at least twice as much compared to Wii Sports, and I think it really makes the game feel more lively.

3. Brunswick Circuit Pro Bowling 2 (Playstation)

2. Ten Pin Alley(Playstation/Sega Saturn)
- I think Ten Pin Alley for the Playstation and Sega Saturn barely beats it though, since pin physics are VERY good, but what is even better is being able to create many different types of characters compared to Brunswick’s game. Tournament mode is more fun in this game compared to Brunswick, since you can unlock secret character taunts and see how crazy your character will go over a strike or spare

1. Brunswick Circuit Pro Bowling (Playstation, PC, Nintendo 64)
-You may be asking yourself why I gave this a better review compared to the 2nd game. For one thing, this game came out on more platforms so people had more than 1 option as to how they wanted to play this. But what I think is really good about this game is that the pin physics can’t be beat. They are by far the most accurate I’ve ever seen in a bowling game

The Top 5 Shooters for PS3

1. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves-Awesome, brilliant, amazing! What else can I say, this game is just great! I really had a lot of fun going through campaign and multiplayer is a blast! Naughty Dog did a phenomenal job and updates and the game with new content and funky skins for multiplayer.

2. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots-In this game you will be playing as an aging and exhausted Solid Snake in the middle of a futuristic environment. Even though Snake's body is aging fast and his body is falling; his high-tech suit that can dynamically transform Snake's texture based on the texture of the surroundings. My personal experience with this game was great! It's a really fun game and the graphics are amazing.

3. Killzone 2-Killzone 2 is a great improvement to Killzone 1 and has greatly improved graphics. The campaign was pretty good; not the best, but it was definitely good. Online is great though, it has a lot of maps and you can buy 6 more maps for only a couple of dollars. I spent about 3-4 weeks playing this game non-stop. Once you get hooked and learn the controls, you will love this game.

4. infamous- This game is really weird and fun at the same time. You are a man imbued with superpowers and you get the whole city to play with. It is fun, what else would you want?

5. Warhawk- When I first got this game from a friend, I didn't even want to play it. But once I played Warhawk for few hours, I realized how great this game was! It's an online only 3rd-person shooter game that has flying vehicles, tanks, planes, and much more. One great thing about this game is that it's a downloadable game and you can get it straight for PSN store. One negative is that it doesn't have a campaign and you can play online only.

The top Racing Games on Xbox 360

1. Forza Motorsport 3- This game has many number of tracks and cars, also the amazing gameplay complete with tons of difficulty adjustments to ensure players of all skill levels can play

2. Project Gotham Racing 4- It looks better then the previous versions, has a far better car list, has a better career mode, and just plain has more stuff to do. The gameplay is as sharp as ever as well.

3. Dirt 2- Dirt 2 is the best offroad racing game of this gen so far. It takes everything that made the first Dirt good and polishes it even more to produce a bigger, better looking, better playing game that is a must buy for racing fans.

4. Grid- Codemasters has tweaked and tuned the Pro Race Driver series into GRID and turned an enjoyable but niche series into one of the best racers on the market. It straddles the line between simulation and arcade to produce a racer that rewards you for driving correctly, but also doesn’t penalize you if you want to break the wheels loose and throw the car around corners. GRID is just plain fun.

5. F1 2010- There are few gliches but this game is still a good one with a good career

6. Burnout Paradise- EA and Criterion have finally delivered the first true next-gen Burnout, and the results are pretty impressive for the most part. The game maintains the blazingly fast racing, slick visuals, and bone shattering crashes of the past, but adds in a few new bells and whistles to keep the series fresh. Not all of the changes were for the better, however, but even with a few lackluster race modes, Burnout Paradise is still an excellent racing game overall that is worth a look.

7. Split/Second- This is a game about blowing stuff up to not only crash your opponents, but dramatically alter the layout of the entire course. It isn't particularly deep, but when everything clicks together it is amazingly satisfying and fun.

8.  Midnight Club: Los Angeles- The racing is fun. The graphics are gorgeous. And there is a ton of stuff to do. The difficulty level may present a few roadblocks, but for race fans Midnight Club: L.A. is worth a look.

9.Need For Speed: Most Wanted- It combines the great car customization and open world of Underground with the police chases of Hot Pursuit and the solid racing gameplay that the entire series has been known for. Whether on the Xbox or Xbox 360, Need for Speed Most Wanted is a must play for race fans.

10. Blur- Blur takes the best of developer Bizarre Creation's Project Gotham Racing series and mashes it with Mario Kart. Blur is fast paced and fun, but also surprisingly accessible.. The single-player loses steam after a while, but take the game onto Xbox Live and race with up to 20 people and Blur becomes something truly special.

Violent Games Effect on the Brain

There were a study on May 29, 2010 stating that young men who plays violent video games for a long period of time show distinct changes in brain activity that correlate with aggressive behavior, preliminary research suggests. There has been little study on the effect of violent video games have on young men. The study was fourteen 25 year old's playing really violent games and fourteen 25 year old's who did not play any violent games. The results went to the American Psychiatric Association. The results showed violent games have a higher scores on the aggression questionnaire. Statistical analysis showed the increased activity in the default mode network correlated with higher scores on the aggression questionnaire, says Gregor R. Szycik. The work is very preliminary and does not show that violent video games lead to aggressive behavior, he also said.  Moderation is key, said Hilty.  "If you do anything too much, even exercise, you'll run into trouble."

Video Games

Video Games- There had been video games since the 1970's beginning with Atari's Pong. Video Games have a highly effective way of teaching children with school. For example, Apple's Lemonade Stand. It is also stated in a study used with third graders and a computer software. One group had third graders study text on a computer and another had video games to study. It was shown that the third graders using the games to study did better on tests. It was conducted by Tsung-Yen Chuang and Wei-Fan Chen. Even with this they said that dont let your kids play games all the time. there are many problems with video games including obesity, video-induced seizures, and postural, muscular and skeletal disorders, such as tendonitis, nerve compression, and carpal tunnel syndrome stated Gentile. He also stated that these are rare and parents should focus on the content in their children's games as well as limit the time they play with them.
Violence and Video Games- It was said that the Columbine shootings was caused by the games Doom and Wolfenstein 3D played by Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. There were many lawsuits against these game companies and failed. There were also a law stating that you had to be 18 years old to play violent games. This was ruled against by the California Supreme Court. Video games were also accused of terrorism. Joshua Tompkins said that the game "Flight Simulator" is too real, that could be used for terrorism. Zacarias Moussaoui, a hijacker involved in the September 11 attacks, had flight simulator software on his laptop.
